What We Do

Hay Kanto helps children to express themselves through art using therapeutic approaches that include elements of literacy and numeracy.  

We: 

Use the creation of art to help improve the lives of the children we serve.

Help children cope with the stresses of their daily lives by providing them with the tools to express themselves.

Build foundational literacy and numeracy skills through art projects.

Teach art using art therapy techniques, providing children a non-verbal and tactile way of expressing their emotions.




















Teach art using therapy techniques to improve the children's fine motor skills.

Provide Malagasy artists with a gallery space to show and sell their work to the public.

Establish a venue for exchange between Malagasy and non-Malagasy visitors. 

Offer an internship program for Malagasy high school students interested in the arts and education to learn how to apply their talent and begin a professional career.
